Founded this management consulting firm in 1980 to provide expertise in the area of strategic planning, operational planning, plan implementation, marketing, image and advertising, work processes and systems, and employee involvement.

Have functioned as both a management consultant or as part of the client's senior management team depending on the nature and duration of the assignment.  Representative Projects...

  • Created and implemented a strategic planning process for a major insurance company that enabled the company to differentiate itself in the marketplace by developing unique tools and sales methodology, i.e. which have become an industry standard.
  • Developed a marketing and sales direction program for financial services company.  Integrated sales, marketing and customer service functions in each branch office enabling the company to increase its sales and marketing capacity without additional personnel.
  • Conducted a customer survey that, for the first time, identified who the primary customer was for financial services (insurance) firm.  As a result, designed new sales programs that allowed each sales professional to dramatically improve production.
  • Wrote a business plan and management system for the formation of a new company that enabled the parent to market its products through a new distribution channel.  Designed budgeting and forecasting processes including key operating ratios.  Developed a compensation program tied to employee involvement and empowerment.  Used quality management approaches in all aspects of the management system.  Enabled the company to hit $20 million in sales in four years.
  • Created a strategic planning process and trained all executives in an international financial services company.  Established a planning format and a means to convert strategies into operational plans.
  • Assisted a client find a purchaser after their own efforts had been unsuccessful.  Identified prospective purchasers.  Conducted due diligence.  Managed negotiations.  Sold the business in 90 days for the requested multiple of earnings.
  • Created and conducted a business planning seminar course for a franchising organization.  Standardized the business planning format that enabled their franchisees to be more successful.
  • Wrote strategic and business plan for a new hotel.  Assisted in the selection of a name.  Designed the amenities to differentiate it from its competitors.
  • Conducted a practice development workshop for a CPA firm that enabled it to grow an average of 20% per year for four consecutive years.
  • Assisted in astronomical observatory group in the planning of a reopening of an observatory (Mt. Wilson) closed to disrepair.

The Virtual Office... a way for insurance companies to get rid of brance offices while increasing sales productivities

World Class Implementation Program... method for companies to use to make sure that information that their employees get in seminars is implemented

The Personal Economic Value Program... a method for measuring and developing the economic value of each employee in any organization

The Virtual Instrument... a product that allows amateur astronomers to conduct serious science with little or no technical knowledge

ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT     1976-80    Mission Insurance Co.
Managed the Workers Compensation Division in the Los Angeles Branch.  Improved division sales from $12 million to $53.5 million.
